Betsey Childs Betsey Childs is based on a folk art painting of a girl from the mid 1800's.  She is made from tea dyed muslin with an embroidered and colored pencil face.  Her dress is made from a red cotton print that has pretty rose lace trim.  She is also wearing a pair of pantalettes with the same rose trim.  Her black shoes are painted on.
